Initial Assessment

Your first appointment will always begin with an initial assessment. You will be asked a number of  detailed questions about your pain or injury, any potential history relating to this and what your goals are for treatment.

Treatment Plan

Treatment may involve:

  • Mobilisation techniques, massage and stretching

  • Specific exercises, carried out in the clinic during your treatment

  • Home exercise programmes or specific strategies to manage and improve your symptoms between visits are often prescribed

Treatment rationales and expected outcomes will always be explained to you during your appointment.

Physical Tests

Physical tests may be carried out to determine aspects such as your:

  • Mobility and flexibility

  • Strength

  • Ligament and joint stability

  • Reflexes and sensation

  • Nerve tests

These tests help diagnose your pain or injury and determine the best treatment plan for your condition.
